Spiderweb Taco Dip
Beans, seasoned sour cream, guacamole, salsa, and cheese hide beneath an edible sour-cream web and olive spider.
Ingredients
- 1 16-ounce can refried beans
- 1 1/2 cups sour cream, divided
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 1 1/2 cups prepared guacamole
- 1 cup thick salsa, drained
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/3 cup sliced green onions
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives
- 2 whole black olives
- Tortilla chips, for serving
Directions
- Spread refried beans in a 9-inch round serving dish.
- Combine 1 cup sour cream with taco seasoning and spread over the beans.
- Carefully spread guacamole over the seasoned sour cream.
- Spoon drained salsa around the edge. Add cheese, tomatoes, green onions, and sliced olives around the rim.
- Place remaining sour cream in a piping bag and pipe several circles over the guacamole.
- Drag a toothpick outward through the circles to create a web.
- Use whole and sliced olives to form a spider, then serve with tortilla chips.
OCW Kitchen Tip: Drain the salsa well. Excess liquid can make the dip watery and blur the sour-cream web.
